More and more clients are online – visiting websites for information, sending emails or shopping online, as an everyday part of their busy lives.

E-newsletters are a fantastic way of keeping your clients up-to-date with the latest news about you and your salon. Here are some tips for success:

Take every opportunity to grow your client database. Don't limit yourself to just asking your new clients. Check with existing clients if they're on email. Always be on the look out for new contacts. If your salon is helping at an event ask to run a competition and use this as a way of collecting email addresses. Clients frequently change their personal email addresses so get your team to check with the client at least every six months.

The collection, storage and use of email addresses is carefully regulated so always give clients and prospects the chance to 'opt-in' when collecting email addresses, and never share your database with anyone else.
